Google morning raised the stakes in the search space on Wednesday with the introduction of Google Instant, which will provide faster, more intelligent searching and results on the company's site.
The intelligence built into the Google Instant service responds to predicted queries based on just a few keystrokes. Google Instant will become part of the core Google search service, with initial rollouts today in the United States.

Hewlett-Packard on Wednesday announced a low-cost, entry-level server for small businesses that bundles advanced features in a small package.

Rhomobile will announce Wednesday version 2.0 of its development-as-a-service platform for building smartphone applications.
RhoHub 2.0 is a SaaS platform enabling online development of native applications for Apple iPhone, RIM BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and Google Android phones. RhoHub applications can be hosted via Heroku hosting infrastructure. Ruby and HTML development are supported on RhoHub, which leverages the Model View Controller paradigm.

LG Electronics on Tuesday announced a new series of smartphones with next-generation dual-core processors, which should provide a big leap in performance while maintaining device battery life.
LG's new Optimus line will include smartphones running on Nvidia's Tegra 2 dual-core chips, which will also allow handsets to play 1080p high-definition video, LG said in a statement.

Microsoft last Friday said it was looking into a long-known vulnerability in Internet Explorer (IE) that could be used to access users' data and Web-based accounts.
The bug can allow hackers to hijack Web mail accounts, steal data, and send illicit tweets, said Google security engineer Chris Evans in a message posted on the Full Disclosure mailing list.

Samsung has announced a dual-core application processor for tablets PCs, netbooks, and smartphones that will be able to handle 1080p video playback and recording, the company said on Tuesday.
